Festiva Hospitality Group to hold its 3rd Festiva Charitable Golf Tournament

Almost six years ago, Festiva Hospitality Group announced that it would be establishing a permanent charity fund with hopes of building up its surrounding communities as well as reaching out to the greater, global needs of the world. With the assistance of The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, the Festiva Charitable Fund has been able to successfully lead in the promotion of development, growth, and education in its local communities. And one of the most successful ways the fund has found to raise money for these causes has been the Festiva Charitable Fund Golf Tournament.

The 2010 golf tournament proved to be successful, thanks to the sponsors, volunteers and participants who helped in raising nearly $40,000 during the event, all for charity. A total of 78 players, including Festiva employees, sponsors, affiliates and individuals from across the nation set out for a day full of competition, leisure and charitable giving. Registration fees for this event raised over $8,000 for charity while volunteers racked up a solid $2,000 from raffle ticket and mulligan sales. While our sponsors brought in over $27,000 of contribution to the Festiva fund, three-time RE/MAX World Long Drive championship finalist Tom Garber also matched a large donation made by another participating golfer. The satisfaction of all who participated along with their gracious endowments made to the Festiva Charitable Fund made for the return of this event unquestionable.

Participating in this year’s Festiva Charitable Fund Golf Tournament will give you the opportunity to promote philanthropy all over the world and still have a hand in the expansion of your community right at home. In 2010 the Festiva fund was able to assist in the aid and relief of the people Haiti after devastating earthquakes while the corporate office also held a holiday auction for the Salvation Army and the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry to buy Christmas gifts for families in the Asheville area.

Without the cooperation of our sponsors, donors, employees and friends the Festiva Charitable Fund would not be able to extend its reach to all those locally and internationally who are in need of help. Those who participate in the Festiva Charitable Fund Golf Tournament will become a contributor to a variety of charities such as The Trust for Public Land, Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM), Salvation Army, the WNC Nature Center and Camp Kemo, along with many other well-deserving non-profit groups.
